Garment manufacturing is slowly shifting from India to Bangladesh.
Garments is a labor intensive business and labor costs are gradually rising in India and China. Electricity is also a major contributor to costs. This is much cheaper in Bangladesh (though is quite erratic). A brief snapshot of the comparison.
